This is great, I will practise my German now and try to translate into English....thanks to everyone who has responded to my post
This is really hard to translate line by line, it almost can't be done
Basically it says that Lotti is very good looking despite her squint, and that she and her pair of eyes are as dangerous to the public as Al Capone with his gun, because she can wink at two guys at the same time and nobody knows where she's really looking at...

When I came to visit and meet my husband's family before we got married, I remember my mother-in-law playing a cassette tape of Mani Matter songs while we were driving back from Zürich. Turns out, I'd hear that tape many times over the years, but this song hubby and his mother ALWAYS sing along to.
It so happens that in the US I am an optician, hubby was always reluctant to explain to me what the song means - thanks to all who provided some gist at least, I never even had that much until now. Now I also know why hubby was so reluctant to explain.
