Manual lymphatic drainage

My very old land lady suffers from many ailments (high blood pressure, asthma, arthritis and probably many more things). She is also getting water in her legs.

She is getting manual lymphatic drainage sessions, which are extremely painful and afterwards she almost can't walk, from the pain. So she doesn't know if it is worth it at all.

I told her to find somebody else and see what the new person says and how it works.

I would like to hear what are your experiences with lymphatic drainage. Should this be so painful?

I had MLD when I broke my leg - obviously much younger than your old landlady.

It's a wonderful experience to see your elephant leg become a normal leg but I was in my 30s when I had it.

The massage was also pleasant - almost putting me to sleep.

It was done at the physio ward at Triemli if that helps. A 2nd opinion can't hurt if it's not being helpful to have MLD now....
