Has anyone been through the process of registering a marriage celebrated abroad recently?

How long did it take from the moment the documents were submitted to the Swiss representation?

We submitted ours six weeks ago in the US and the file has been sent to the cantonal authorities of my commune of origin in AG. I know every case is different, but can we reasonably expect a 2-3 month wait or more like a 6-8 month wait...?

8 or 9 months when we did it, but that was back in '88.

For me it was immediate, actually, for my Swiss wife it took the 8-9 months (we got married in upstate NY)
