I don’t know if I have kids. Traveled a lot in my youth, no internet or other easy way for contact, tears at the airport and goodbye, so… maybe I should visit some of those countries again.
I never wanted kids, probably because my childhood was not very pleasant. And I have seen a lot of disgrace with family and friends and their children. And after all, you can drive a tank your whole life with the CO2 consumption of a child.
I think we will soon hit a peak. Too many people in the world, no apartments, traffic jams, health-system breakdowns and everywhere you go there are too many persons and too less space. It may sound egoistic (and probably is), but I don’t want to add to the problem.
That said, I’m just waiting on my second grand niece or nephew and kids bring a lot of joy!
An additional problem may be infertility. Maybe this is natures way to tell us “enough is enough”.
