Master in University of Zurich

Dear all,

I really wish someone is able to provide me advise on the following questions. I intend to study Master in UZH next fall but I have to clear my doubts and questions before submitting my documents to them.

Questions:

1. If I intend to study Master in Business Administration, do I need to prove my German language? As I don't have any cert for German. Which also I understand from their website, for Masters, there is no need to prove German. On the other hand, under the master of Business Administration, there are certain modules in German. Confused, confused, confused.

And I heard from my friend that his friend is taking the master in Business Admin but did not have any cert in German.

2. Actually I am also interested in People-Oriented Computing as I study Business IT during my diploma and switch to Marketing in my degree. I think the chance for me to get into People-Oriented Computing is slimmer as master have to be relate to degree studies. Is it true?

3. And different country have different crediting system, where can I calculate based on European crediting system?

You need B2 Certyficat.

maybe in privat school, at the university you need a B2.

Its called Bologna Crediting System.

Current master's student at UZH here. I'm in a different department, so I dn't have any particular insights on the first two questions, but as to the third: in general a Swiss (ECTS) credit is equal to 1/2 of an American credit. So a class in the USA that was worth 3 credits would be worth 6 in Switzerland. Not sure about any other credit systems.

The answers should be on the website or you can contact the peeps by e-mail or in person, the contact details of the academic advisor are there as well. I had a 40 min chat with them before applying (another faculty) - very helpful.
