Meal planning app?

Does anyone use a meal planning app? I want something for free and on android. Does anyone have any recommendations or want to share your experiences. I want to save time shopping and hopefully save a bit of money too.

Yes. It’s called pen and paper. Is it really that difficult to do something without using a phone/tablet?

App found. Please close thread.

I skip the pen and paper as well unless planning a gathering.

Easy, go to store with an idea (or not) of what needs to be eaten when, quick skim for the 50% reductions and proceed from there. Simples

Trz Cozi. Excellent app but not free - support developers!

Are you going to share the name of the App with us?

I am genuinely bemused as to the purpose of the thing. Does it choose what you are going to eat?

"Yummly" is a great app. It's not a meal planning app per se, but helpful in generating some new ideas. I've got it on my phone (android app) and on my iPad (free).

You type in the name of a dish (or ingredient) and it will give you a list of the most popular recipes (from all over the internet).

Best thing about it is that when you are looking through the list of ingredients needed for the recipe, there is a little (+) sign in front of the ingredient which lets you add it to a grocery list.

I am usually a big fan of pen and paper, but I found this app to be quite useful in coming up with some new ideas, while trying to stick to a certain budget.

Hope this helps !

If you only want to buy what's strictly necessary, I strongly recommend going to the store only after eating

bbcgoodfood has excellent recipes. If you already have some ingredients, you type those in, and it will give you recipes base around them. I like it because the recipes are excellent, imaginative, and economic.
