They do now. At once time they did not.
They also, bizarrely, did not have an online catalogue.
Must have been a long time ago. I specifically remember using one near Luzern (Stans) quite extensively from around 2007 when we bought our place in Engelberg, and would always have paid by credit card.
No idea of their online presence at that time, but that part of the marketplace has changed across the board even just over the last decade, so not surprised if they didn’t have one at that time.
It may have been the German one.
For a time I refused to buy any electronic goods here in Switzerland as I had so many problems with delivery times of weeks, or months instead of the promised days or if anything went wrong, even out of the box, instead of a replacement, it would be sent off for weeks for repair.
Not good if you had ordered a replacement printer for work or something like that.
They closed the Obi?
Migros DoIt kind of shrunk over the years. We had a great one in Zurich Brunau in the 90-ies. It was a time I partly rebuilt my bathroom, designed and built furniture myself and the guys (yes back then it was all guys in DoIt) liked my ideas and sometimes gave me input on how to do something easier etc. It was a grand time
I’ve not been to a Hornbach, not present here. But from their website I often thought I would probably like it.
Ah okay, then that is quite new. For quite a while they didnt.
Yeah, the one at Aigle, MMM Chablais Centre . Around three years ago. Not sure why, but it always seemed to be somewhat lacking, probably just too small, and with Jumbo at Monthey, Coop B&L Collombey and Hornbach Villeneuve I guess they just got squeezed out.
Thinking about it there used to be another Coop B&L at Villeneuve too, also closed at some point in the last 6 years.
Obi in Affoltern a.A closed after barely 2 years of being open. That would have cost them a bucket.
Migros and Coop as well. They force farmers with their own small shop to sell at or above the minimum price they impose.
Under Migros Digitec is shit!
