Messy Gardening Company and neighbours

The neighbour hires a gardener, who does a nice job in her garden but then cuts all the overhanging leaves and branches, lets them fall all over my garden path (ie. easily accessible to all) and then buggers off without clearing up. I come home to a pile of detritus I have to climb over to get to my door.

The neighbour left it too. Mind you, if it had been the other way around, I would have been marched out of town for being a 'dirty forriner'.

I need a gardener myself. So the only comfort I can take from this is that Zgraggen gardeners lost out on another job just because they couldn't be bothered to clean up their own work.

Then again, if you hire them they may leave a mess all over your neighbour’s path instead.

You have a right to be annoyed and a right to complain. My neighbour put a tarp down on my property when he trimmed his hedge and left not a trace of cuttings.

The neighbour should have informed you in advance and requested permission to access your garden to clean up the cuttings.

You can also call up the gardener directly and tell them to clean up your side.

You should not have to clean up their mess.

Dont take any guff from lazy gardening swine. If this ever happens to anyone, find out who they are, take photos and complain to the Gemeinde/police. A lot of the gardeners are shoe string budget operations. The gardeners dont use proper equipment and are not always mindfull of others safety.

A next door neighbour had a big pine tree cut down some years ago and the tree lopper was allowing the logs, each one weighing about 20kgs to fall onto our property. I went ballistic, phoned the police and they were paid a visit by the geminde and the police. The tree lopper had to clean up our property and restore the gerden to original condition as well as a fine from the geminde/police. The next door neighbour appologised to us in writing and in person.
