Like anything, depends on the instructor you get - I actually switched out of the A1 course with one because she was so painfully boring and useless that I knew I'd never stick with it...But interestingly enough, I had 2 great ones in the end...Met some terrific people as well
I have nothing to compare it to but I believe, in gneneral, Migros' courses are well respected with many who have gone through them...I'm actually thinking of heading back to continue with my French
I am looking into studying a semi-intensive French course at Migros klubschule in Nyon. Does anybody know what course book they use for A1 or A2. I'm either going to be A1/3 or lower A2/1 but don't want it to be too easy as I'm planning on putting in a lot of work outside of class time. I'd like to be able to look up what work I should have covered ahead of attending the class so I can get up to speed and work from there.
Thank you in advance for your help,
Rachael
If you aren't sure what level you'll need you can you stop by the school and ask to look at the books.
Another option they offered at the time was to sign up for the level I thought I needed, attend the first class, and then if it was too low or high of a level then I could switch if the other level was available. You could ask about that too when you go to look at the books.
I did end up going with Agora in Lausanne, and have to say I really recommend it. CHF600/month for 3 hours/day, 5 days/week. Reasonable price and I felt I really learned well.
