Migros frozen mediterranean mix?

Have they stopped making it or is it just out of stock? I love that stuff and have been going for last 5 days to Migros specially to buy it but it's never there any more!

I love eating it with bread Anyone seen it recently?

Why not ask them yourself?

What with my German? Ok I will try.

Is it here anywhere? I'm not sure what exactly it is you're looking for, I assumed frozen veg?

Yeah the "Gemüsemischung"... they are mixed veg with all the sauce/spices already in. They used to sell a frozen Thai Green Curry veg mix which I found super quick, easy, healthy and cheap... but they stopped doing that as well.

Looks like these veg mixes were not so popular.... I don't know really. But if you call them, tell them to get the frozen green curry back on the shelves as well.

Everybody gets thanx on this thread from me, 'cept that lazy arse Scribble.

I will not call them for you.

I will not call them for you. You will call them for me as it was an order! Better still visit all shops in ZH and see if they have any. Don't worry I will give you 8 Rp./Min. for the call.

many products transported by airplanes are not available due to the ash clouds. heard that from migros/coop people. not sure your product fits into this category...but could.

Yes that could explain it but I get the feeling it was made locally.

Miss-Lizzy could you call them for me? Ask them about Mediterranean Mix first and then your green curry thing

C'mon, It's FROZEN! I know both freezers & planes are big white things but do you really think they fly frozen veg with integrated sauce coating around the globe.

well to make the frozen veg, they bring some of the fresh vegs from abroad...like from SA, egypt, spain etc.. by plane.

Its 2.50 a bag! Even if the courgettes flew EasyCourJet its not going to happen. Most of these cheap veg likely come from NL and are made peak season when there are gluts of fresh veg. Please forgive the EasyJet gag. i feel filthy for saying it (but not filthy enough to go back and delete it)

Don't think this has anything to do with the ash cloud.... they stopped doing my frozen green curry a few months ago

No it's not there but I am not sure if that means anything as froozen Ratatouille is not there either but it's available in my local shop.

Anyway the packet looks like this (blue style/Vite Fait) with MEDITERRANEAN MIX written on it.

Actually it's around CHF 6-7 for the bag I am talking about

It lives!

I found tons of them today. Must have been supply and demand problem.

no...air traffic is back

If you have a hard time finding it again, there is a decent assortment of mixed frozen veg at Aldi.

Marché D'Or brand seems to be pretty good.

Those containers are convenient, they hold something like 4 servings and can go right in the microwave.

They also carry bagged veg in the same brand, different mixes - Italian, Farmer and Asian mixes at about 750g for something like 4chf. These are seasoned a bit but fairly lightly. I've been able to use them mixed with other sauces and still have the flavor come out as I'd intended.

What's wrong buying some vegetables and making you own. I'm a man and even I can do it!

Frozen vegetables, low in taste, low in nutritional value, high in cost. Fresh vegetables - tasty, cheap and much healthier and cooks just as quickly as something that is frozen. Just in case you lot have forgotten what vegetables look like, here are some pictures

I buy the bags of frozen veggies because I can "more easily" make only enough for 2 portions without having to worry about using the remainder before it spoils.

As far as it being seasoned though, I'd prefer if they were NOT seasoned... which is part of why I get the Aldi ones as it seems veg mixes at Coop and Migros are all heavily sauced.

I eat 3 times a day generally so 3 x 7= 21 meals a week. 20 of them are home made meals from vegetables as I am a vegetarian. So you telling me one meal a week can't consist of frozen veggie mix?

Also nutritionally there is not much wrong with plain frozen vegetables.

Why not have the frozen vegetable 21 times a week if they taste so good!! I personally can't stand frozen broccoli, carrots or cauliflower but you know different horses for different courses.
