How hard is it to change your access info for a Miles & More reward card if you dont have your PIN? Insane is the answer. I just had to 'fax' them a letter confirming I'm me and send a scanned proof of ID with a picture on it. They have no idea what I look like so wtf??????
Yes really. If you dont have access to the email because you have changed jobs try getting a replacement PIN....

Mind you, they usually takes months to credit miles that were not automatically credited, after sending boarding passes, etc...
But also you should read terms and conditions, because...
I have lost easily 100 000 miles (status' ones)... It has been 3 years I was accumulating them, to realize now that they expire every years
Miles don't expire in Miles&More.
Been there and done that a few years back - and yes it is a pain.
In the end I abandoned to the wind a couple of business flights in favour of a new card.
You lost your account info and they wanted to make sure you were you so they didn't give your miles to somebody else???
And you needed to email them a letter??

Actually they do, "normal miles" are expiring after 3 years and status miles are expiring every years.

Your status miles are calculated from 1 January to 31 December in a given calendar year. At the beginning of the year, the counter is therefore reset to zero. In this way, only the status miles earned in the current year are indicated.

It seems that status are only for "changing status level" (upward or downwards).
Weird, I'll check that in details, when i'll get times because i'm sure I had almost 200 000miles and now I hardly have 100K.

Just noticed that 5000 miles will expire by end of March.
Just looked further and award miles will expire after 36 months.
If you have a Lufthansa Miles and More credit card then your miles won't expire
If you have a Swiss M&M credit card then (well I'll let them explain)
EMailing them a letter would be a joy, and easy. But no... After 4 phone calls they finally said to write to them in Germany, send it via fax (apparently people still have them), waiting 4 weeks and hearing nothing, calling them again only to be told to fax it to a Swiss Fax number (honestly, who uses faxes now?) but in additon to send a scanned copy of photo ID to prove its me. All seems a bit excessive when all I want is to be able to update my details for a REWARD card...

Whats the problem? Simply let the Miles expire and stick with More.
Not always. If you're not silver+ or have a miles and more credit card they do expire I think.
That's one of the reasons I never use my business email address for personal accounts.
