Miracle Whip in Coop

For anyone who likes Miracle Whip mayonnaise, it is now sold in the Coops. Light and Regular version... better stock up, who knows how long it will last!

It is called Mirac el Whip

Actually..

Miracle Whip is not a mayonnaise, it's a salad dressing / sandwich spread which possesses a taste and texture similar to mayonnaise but is produced at a much lower price (a.k.a. imitation mayonnaise).

I thought they had that on the shelves for a while? Might have been in Germany though, not sure.

Now if they would finally sell Cool Whip here, that would be fantastic!

You have lots of free time on Sundays, don't you?

I hate miracle whip because it has a terrible name, miracle whip is insulting to everyone with an IQ over 101 and a low sex drive.

Then why even post a comment on the thread? It was for people intersted in buying it... and what does low sex drive have anything to do with MW?

I reckon IKEA is talking about himself.

I grew up with Heinz Salad Cream. Never used it on a green leaf salad, but enjoyed it in pasta or potato salads and sandwiches.

I find Miracle Whip to be quite similar. Plus when you google it, sites suggest it's used in certain 'secret' fast food recipes such as McD's and KFC.

Any one got some good recipes with Miracle Whip? Bought some the other day at Coop.

Which Coop. I did not find it in the one near kreutzplatz?? And yes some receipes esp. salads would be welcome

I got me a bottle in the Coop in Sihlcity yesterday.

The stuff is disgusting ! I was trying it and got the very strong feeling that this is what paint must taste like....

If you shop at Coop online you can get a free bottle of the regular and light versions with your shopping. I got them this week (I'd never heard of miracel whip, but it was free, so I added it into the basket just to see what it was - will get round to trying it soon).

In french, you click on "epicerie", then "gratuitement" and then "Alimentation/Boissons"

My opinion of Miracle Whip is that it is only good as a replacement for mayo for certain things... tuna or egg salad being among them.

I noticed a thread about mac and cheese, I've known some folks to use miracle whip in place of cream (sour or otherwise) for baked macaroni and cheese as it has less fat than the cream and the tangy flavor adds a little pazazz to the dish.

Bindu, I bought it at the Coop in Uster right at the train station.
