Mobile 'Pocket Wi-Fi'

I saw this promoted through RhB. It looks useful if you travel around quite a bit and need/want to keep in touch.

Have any of you used this? If so, was it reliable?

I have a 4G/LTE one that I bought in Italy for EUR 70, and EUR 9/month for 20GB data in all of the EU.

I have a Swiss SIM for when I use it here on the go, that costs CHF 1/day but I only use it a couple days a month on average, normally just use my phone (or use my phone SIM in it).

I have a mobile WiFi and have used it in Italy, France, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, UK and the US with no issues. It's dead easy, just buy a local data SIM pop it in, turn off mobile data on your phone, connect to the you WiFi Hotspot and away you go. Mine will hook up to 10 devices IIRC, plenty for 2 iPhones, 2 iPads, and a laptop.
