Hi,
I looked outside today and it such a beautiful day. And I'm there thinking how sad it is because I have no friends to go out with and enjoy it.
I had a very good friend who like me, has a young child. Like me, she loves to go around for a walk, go shopping in town pushing the stroller, have a coffee somewhere. Doing stuff without having to plan, just a ring in the morning and we were out for the day!
Sadly, she left the country...
I go to Gymboree, I'm in the BCT groups but I can't yet find someone who, like me, want to have a friend to spend time with, have the kids playing and the girls chatting.
I want to find some friends to spend time during the week with them and the kids and be able to organised activities, dinner with the husbands in weekend!
I feel everybody is too busy or occupied with their daily routine. If you are like me and you are craving some girl talk over a coffee, a trip at the park or the stores, let me know.

Hi Nil
I just read your post and it struck a chord as I'm in the same situation, having just moved to Saint Louis with my 2-month-old son. I'd definitely be interested in meeting up for a coffee or a stroll (when the weather's so lovely) as, although I enjoy spending time with my little one, I'm also craving some adult company from time to time, and he's probably sick of just seeing me all day every day!
As I said, I live in Saint Louis, but very close to the tram stop Saint Louis Grenze in Basel (tram 11). I have my in-laws visiting next week, but otherwise I'm pretty much free whenever!
Look forward to hearing from you!

Are you in one of the neighbourhood connection BCT groups? These are supposed to put you in touch with people living close to you for exactly that kind of "it's sunny fancy going to the park" type of thing. I met a lot of mummy-friends through BCT - but then I'm on the committee - which is actually quite a good way to really meet people "properly" because we meet once a month without the kids so it's easier to talk and arrange other stuff. We're still looking for committee members for 2011 too if you fancy it Have a look here:

You know, I would love to say that I could pop out with you for a coffee, but my schedule is very complicated - I work 3 days a week, one child at kindergarten, one in the middle of the tantrum-age and we do kindermusik and BCT Beyond Bruises too. Somehow there is never time to do anything at all! Do you go to the BCT playgroups? It can be hard breaking into a group when it looks like everyone has friends already - but one tip I would say is when you go to places like BCT or gymboree, always chat to the people who are new in Basel - because they will be in need of a friend and you can astound them with your local knowledge
Hi
I have a 6mth old girl and have the same problem, my 2 closest friends have recently left too so nobody to go shopping with, have coffees etc and my other half is going mad just stuck with me at the weekends
PM me if you fancy meeting up sometime

And what about our "coffee in exchange for a nappy bin deal"???
I didn't forget about you! Got pretty busy! When are you free in the morning?
Hi Eve!
I am not going much out at the moment because my daughter is now at an age where she needs to spend a lot of energy by running, jumping and playing. I can't sit her in a stroller anymore like she is going to stay still!
