MoveAgain

I've explained it too many times, so I'll try once more, since it is serious and I need your help/advice.

I had an agreement with this company about a move. It was about to happen today. Their moving company/crew didn't show up today. They seemed they didn't care and didn't bother to help.

I'm in deep trouble, because I'm still at my old apartment, I need to find a new one and nobody can help asap. Also my landlord will kill me if I don't leave by Thursday.

Is there a way to find legal help apart from finding a lawyer and taking the legal way to a court? Is there sth like a union for the rights of the consumers? Is it okay for a swiss company to be unprofessional and unreliable? They caused me more trouble than they care or imagine and I'm sure they did it before. But I'm afraid they know I can't "touch" them.

Anyone to help, apart from telling me "you should have been more careful"?

Try phoning them?

Tom

It's only 7:30, most workers are not on the go yet. Mine just walked in the door... try calling them.

Companies don't have lorries and workers hanging around, so if they fail to show up there is little that can be done today.

To find a different moving company, you might try searching

déménagement lausanne pas cher .

However, be sure - before you initiate that - that you've checked (= phone them, as Tom wrote) with the moving company with which you already have an arrangement, otherwise you might find yourself having to pay TWO bills.

You may or may not have a religious affiliation, but even if you don't, you might try calling a church or a mosque, since sometimes people who attend such groups can find ways to mobilise people to help, to intervene, in a crisis situation.

If you have an agreement for the work to be completed and they don't show up and this causes you additional costs then of course they are liable for them. How to recoup the costs is a bit harder though.

What have they said?

Really, I see no posts from you about it before this one!

If you’ve spoken to the company and they are not coming, you better hire a van and start emptying it yourself. You can organise claiming from the later.

Also - what do you mean by you need to find a new one? You don’t have an apartment lined up to move into already??

Island_Monkey is right. Forget about lawyers for now and focus on getting moved. Once you have all the receipts you can them pursue them to recover those costs if they have demonstrably breached the contract.
