Movies with no foul language, nudity/sex scenes and violence recommendations

Are you looking for action, comedy, Sci Fi, Romantic, Black and White etc?

You favourite actors?

That would narrow it down a bit.

The phantom Tollboth

i think begga also recommended a film called 'my private gladiator'

Is that his home video effort?

No I think that one is called Sven my viking friend

Blimey, if that's your recommendation for a violence-free film, I shudder to think what your with-violence recommendations might be

Thanks. Unfortunately I am not able to go 100% on the ratings as many of the PG rated movies do contain cursing.

Well, I'm really just asking if there are any movies you guys have seen that you could recommend. I know there are a ton out there but if there are any that have perhaps stuck in your mind as being particularly worth while watching, that is what I'm after.

i watched a film called 'mes stars et moi' which was clean and entertaining. could have been some mild cursing, but again in french so doesn't count

Oscar winning ' Once ' would tick all the boxes I think.

if you get it on US DVD maybe they'll also censor the profanity?

Amelie is sweet. There's a mild, zero-nudity sex scene in there that lasts about five seconds, but apart from that, it would be fit for one's maiden aunt.

It's in French, though, which some might find offensive.

No nude girl in the natural source (water pound in nature)?

In a French film, no sex is so rare, I wouldn't dare to recommend anything without checking twice.

But you may be right.

I would go for Buster Keaton, that's safe by any standards.

Wenders 'Himmel über Berlin' and 'In Weiter Farne, So Nah!' (sp?) - beautiful films, in German with quite a lot of English actually, Peter Falk, Willem Dafoe, Lou Reed and Nick Cave feature.

They are both so ethereal tho, deeply sad and tremendously uplifting at the same time.

Unfortunately not

maybe you're thinking of the second part "manon de sources" when the girl is grown up.

i mean, it's a film about a farmer. how racy could it be

I remember life in French country side in my teen years... that makes me suspicious (but I loved it for homonal reasons). But you are right, two different films.

Babette's feast (Babettes gaestebud) - a danish film with Stéphane Audran as the French Babette. Best film ever. Grany-safe film, as I recall.

CAST AWAY, journey to the center of the earth, Indiana jones i,ii & iii, saving private ryan, black hawk down, taken....ahhh !!! there are loads of movies

You need to check out http://www.capalert.com/ . It's a site rating movies by how violent, immoral etc, they are. The guy running capalert is, lets say, differentely sane, but very, very thorough.

Some asian movies may fit in your criteria: Eat drink man woman by Ang Lee, or Wedding banquet by same director.

So you watched a different version of Private Ryan then??
