Thanks. Unfortunately I am not able to go 100% on the ratings as many of the PG rated movies do contain cursing.
Well, I'm really just asking if there are any movies you guys have seen that you could recommend. I know there are a ton out there but if there are any that have perhaps stuck in your mind as being particularly worth while watching, that is what I'm after.
Amelie is sweet. There's a mild, zero-nudity sex scene in there that lasts about five seconds, but apart from that, it would be fit for one's maiden aunt.
It's in French, though, which some might find offensive.
Wenders 'Himmel über Berlin' and 'In Weiter Farne, So Nah!' (sp?) - beautiful films, in German with quite a lot of English actually, Peter Falk, Willem Dafoe, Lou Reed and Nick Cave feature.
They are both so ethereal tho, deeply sad and tremendously uplifting at the same time.
I remember life in French country side in my teen years... that makes me suspicious (but I loved it for homonal reasons). But you are right, two different films.
Babette's feast (Babettes gaestebud) - a danish film with Stéphane Audran as the French Babette. Best film ever. Grany-safe film, as I recall.
CAST AWAY, journey to the center of the earth, Indiana jones i,ii & iii, saving private ryan, black hawk down, taken....ahhh !!! there are loads of movies
You need to check out http://www.capalert.com/ . It's a site rating movies by how violent, immoral etc, they are. The guy running capalert is, lets say, differentely sane, but very, very thorough.
