Movies with no foul language, nudity/sex scenes and violence recommendations

Caligula, Salo, Event Horizon

Was it 'Shaving Ryan's Privates'? Best movie since 'Sheepless in Seattle' and 'Pretty Shitty Gang Bang'....

The Straight Story

The Man from Earth

that website is fantastic. shame they didn't review "High School Musical".

Mary Poppins was one of the few to get a 100 clean rating and even then there was some debate re: magic and impudence:

" Mary Poppins was a delightful romp for children and the young at heart through a make-believe world of frolic and fantasy. There were no instances of offensive material throughout the movie. While there were several occurences of "magic," there was nothing evil or sinister about any of the "magic." Mary could have been angelic. While some might consider the "We won't go to sleep!" from Michael to Mary Poppins to be arrogance and/or impudence, the obstinence was NOT at his parents. All instances of Jane and Michael taking issue with parental authority (e.g., the song) were with respect and even apology. I cannot find in the Bible anywhere God has a problem with children disagreeing with their parents but I can find a LOT of warnings against arrogance toward and rebellion against parents -- a LOT -- and with severe consequences ... and even more severe consequences for parents who abuse the authority and position He gave them."

The second of two of the more than 300 movies that led me to tears was this one: Who Gets the House. Some very, very loving and courageous kids and parents wise enough to listen to them in the right ways made this movie an honor for me to see. The only sad thing about Who Gets the House is the revealing of America's entertainment diet by it -- I was the only one in the auditorium when I watched this movie.

Regarding the "It finally happened" comment in the intro line above, this movie was the second of the more than 300 movies we have analyzed to have earned a CAP Final Score of 100. The Findings/Scoring section of this report is empty and all six of the CAP Thermometers are full. And there are no Bible chapter/verse applications provided. None are needed for this movie. I could be wrong, but I noted nothing that might make Jesus uncomfortable in accordance with His teachings and expectations given us in the Holy Bible. There was NO violence or crime; NO sexual programming, not even innuendo; NO drugs, tobacco, alcohol or bars (but there was red punch in a social affair); NO kids screaming obscenities at their parents; NO kiss-off attitudes, hate, or vain and selfish anger; NO uses of the three/four letter word vocabulary; NO uses of God's name in vain; NO sorcery, witchcraft, demonism or counterfeiting of the Scriptures; NO murders or suicides; none. If anyone who watches this movie can convince me differently, I will retrofit the scoring and update the report.

How come no-one has asked the obvious question. Why?

There's actually a very good reason why these are few and far between. Apart from a handful made before about 1955 when censorship took anything mildly interesting out they are almost universally boring. Kindergarten cop anyone?

Some classics: dirty dancing, pretty woman, pride & prejudice

Elizabeth: the golden age and dead poets society were clean movies as far as I remember

Robin hood (Kevin Costner of course), Hook, Free Willy... these family movies can be entertaining.

i liked kindergarten cop. and it only scored 68 in the cap alert ratings anyway.

I'm sure there's a law against that!

The capalert review of Scary Movie sounds great! "There was no plot, no theme, and no sense to Scary Movie. It was just 81 minutes of wanton licentious disregard for righteousness, moral character and inhibition." If the film only delivered on these promises...

- 'Little miss sunshine' is a very sweet and uplifting movie. No nudity, some mild swearing if I remember correctly.

- 'Mio fratello e figlio unico'. One of the best movies I saw last year, sex-free, some very mild violence.

- Vertigo.

I second. One of the best art movies.

A Walk to Remember is a great, clean movie.

I think you're looking for G, not PG ratings to be sure. Historical pieces, any Jane Austen adaptation, stuff from the 40's and 50's, 60's, some Hitchcock, for example. I think bread and tulips ( italian) might also fit the bill. The Secret garden is a children's classic, but is beautifully filmed.

Am trying to remember if woody allen's films have swearing- crimes and misdemeanors, radio days, and purple rose of Cairo come to mind as possibly appropriate. Hmmm, they probably do have swearing, I guess.

My absolute favorite is Waking Ned Divine. But again it has some nudity in it, if you can call "an eighty year old riding a motorcycle in his birthday suit " nudity. Hilarious!!

This thread is quite the eye opener---I can't even think of a single movie that fits the requirements.

Wow, my life just became unbelievably sadder.

All eight hours of Pride and prejudice (the BBC version)... although there's a lake scene that may get your thoughts running in some unclean directions . Actually any film that's an adaption by Austin is a safe bet.

Also Anne of Green Gables (search out the original series...) and Pollyanna are also nausiatingly nice films. Guaranteed to have you feeling like you've eaten your body weight in fairy floss and leave you with a sugar headache for at least 12 hours!

On a side note: I've managed to avoid watching any of the Hobbit/ Lord of the rings films for four years by making a deal with my loved one that for every hour of hobbit watching I do he has to watch an hour of Pride and prejudice

that was groan-worthy

If you liked "Amelie" I am sure you love " Delikatessen ".

Turn the telly off, that's clean, no nudity, no sex, no violence, in fact, no nothing

any Hayao Miyazaki movie - animation but not really kids' movies like disney ones are.
