Movies with no foul language, nudity/sex scenes and violence recommendations

Yes there no sex in that one

This is hilarious. This guy is off the planet. I wonder what a movie about bible stories would score - lots of violence, murder, fornication, unholy elements, even alcohol (water being turned to wine)....

Come to think of it I haven't watched Robin Hood in a long time. Wanna join?

Standby for a new Amish movie theater opening up in Adliswil soon. Hand operated projector and nutritious raw vegetable snacks...

Doesn't "remember the titans" fit into this category?

The Scent of Green Papaya. Il Postino. Juno.

as long as it's the version with Erol Flynn

There is one with no ON-SCREEN violence.

La vita e bella

Juno, thats a great film

I wondered that, this is what he says , I'm not convinced.

This is not what I call sex.....it only suggests that some sex is going on.

Another great movie fitting in your criteria is Cinema Paradiso

Who not?

This is my personal opinion:

I find that many of the movies without the above mentioned are usually more thought provoking as they don't rely on the easy tactics to keep you captivated.

The question Why? is easily answered with: OP's personal preference, hence the thread.

But I think generally this thread is disproving the idea of such films being "more thought provoking".

Agree with that. The lack of profanity makes it harder for me to relate. That is why movies like superbad are hilarious too me.

Sideways. The Big Lebowski. Lost in Translation. Dogtown Boys. Down by Law. O Brother, Where Art Thou? My Left Foot. The Opposite of Sex (ish)....

What do you mean by "kids'" movies? Some consider The Lord of the Rings to be a kid's movie because it is fantasy. Some people classify any Disney as kids' movies - but many Disney films I'd classify as family films - i.e. enjoyable to adults and kids. A true "kids'" film is something that really only appeals to kids and is probably crap to boot.

Anyway...

Night at the Museum

Up (though thinking about it, there is one act of violence in that, that in context is quite shocking).

The Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy

erm...what? no foul language? must have seen the wrong edition, i guess...

I'm trying to remember if Cinema Paradiso fits the bill. Although one of its themes is the censoring of racy (in Italy, maybe around the 1950's) scenes from films. Have to go and see it again now.....it's a great film.

Robin Hood with Kevin Costner? Are you guys serious?I'd much rather watch Mel Brooks "Men in Tights", although I think it has some choice language, probably more vulgar than anything else.

What about Young Frankenstein or the original The Producers,

Away We Go is a nice film and I think it falls into this category, I'm not absolutely sure there's zero swearing but I'm fairly sure.

Foul language is designed to captivate? You may want to turn down your sensitivity dial slightly to cope better with the modern world.
