wow that is expensive. We moved a whole house of furniture for not much more than that... we used Interdean.

We used Robinsons from the UK when we moved from Bern to Sydney - we shifted about 8 m^2 for less than Fr. 4000, but that was a couple of years ago.
I have 50m3 going back to Sydney, will be packed mid January, but in storage until July 2013.
A 40ft container is 60m3 so there is a little room to spare.

We moved back in August 2012 from Baden. We were quoted on a 43m3 door to door Service (sole 40 ft container). This included all the packing and disassembling of large furniture pieces and vice versa at your destination and all the paper work, customs, quarantine etc. We paid about CHF 16K including new replacement insurance (beware, total loss insurance only pays for total loss, not for individual items damaged during the transport).
We ended up choosing Kehrli & Oeler which wasn't the cheapest one. However, stay away from them as long as they use Australian Vanlines as their Australian agent. Very poor communication plus they managed to cause considerable damage to our newly laid floorboards during delivery and assembly even though we specifically pointed it out to them. We will drag them before the CTTT (small claims tribunal), it's that bad. Also K&O is less than helpful saying that there's nothing they can do.
I wish we'd used another shipping company. Make sure you do you homework and check out their credentials, especially the Australian side of things.
I might be able to find the other quotes. We initially used a quoting website and received even quotes from the UK. This got us started.
