Moving Canton Married non Eu

Hello everyone,

I'm new in switzerland and got a B permit after my marriage. I understood that it's an "open" B so I have right of work and movement within switzerland.

We planned to move to another Canton with my wife in some month and would like to know the procedure in my case. I know that normally non Eu B permit holders need the prior approval of their Canton of residence. But As I got a family B permit I guess it's not the case so

1. Should I simply move with my wife and go register there after moving, as easy as that ?

2. Will I need to go through a whole new procedure, submitting piles of documents and long waiting time to get a permit in the new Canton or is my Permit valid for the whole country and I can keep it ?

Simply what's the procedure please, if someone went through this already

If your wife is the main permit holder then she’s going to need permission to move cantons from both of them - the current canton and the one you want to move to. You can’t move without her since part of the conditions for getting the family reunification permit is that you live together. If she gets permission to change cantons then there won’t be any problem with you getting a new family reunification permit from the new canton.

You need the approval from the canton you move to, not from the canton you currently reside. (The canton you move from is not involved in this)

You have to check with the canton you move to what is needed.
