Moving/Relocation companies (NL>CH) - Options?

Hello everyone,

I will be moving to Zurich some time in mid-April and I am looking into option to move my stuff over there from Amsterdam.

Has anyone experience with international moving services between the Netherlands and Switzerland? Any recommendations?

I will hardly have furniture with me so a small-to-medium cargo van for mainly boxes should suffice. I would guesstimate 2.5-3 m3 of stuff.

Any info on companies and costs (based on your experience) will be very welcome!

Are you paying for it yourself or is it via an employer? If yourself, you can just rent a van from e.g., Amcar and drive your stuff down.

Best advice: do not leave Amsterdam at all. If you feel the need to move, just load your stuff into the rental van and drive around the A10 ringroad around 25 times. That is the same feeling as living in Switzerland.

bedankt for the warning - it's been a tough decision indeed. I love Amsterdam. But there are good reasons for this move.

I will organize the move by myself. Thanks for suggesting the Amcar option. I'll look into that as well.
