Hello all!
I am very happy to be moving to Zurich with my family this summer.
I am very new here and would like to ask for some help.
Currently I am looking for relocation companies that could help with house removal/transportation.
I would very much appreciate if someone could recommend me a small/reliable company for that.
Thank you and cheers from Belgium!
Kirill.
Welcome to the forum and soon to Switzerland.
Can’t help with your query I’m afraid, but I would think it would be better to look for companies in Belgium to do the move for you. We used a UK company when we moved from the UK and it all went smoothly. I do know they used Kuhn & Nagel to do the entry paperwork for them, but that’s a big Swiss company.
Hi, welcome.
I'm almost certain it will be cheaper if you use a Belgium company to move you here. A lot cheaper most likely. We don't want you to have a heart attack - about pricing - before you even get here
Thank you, @Medea @curley !
Understood, I will focus my search on belgian companies then.
Any recommendation for tranquilizer drugs to help coping with prices ? : )
Well, not a drug, but perhaps look at the various sticky threads in the forum as many have info on prices/cost of living.
You can also look at sites like:
www.migros.ch
www.coop.ch
www.aldi.ch
www.lidl.ch
www.denner.ch
www.comparis.ch is also good for comparing various insurances.
Probably won’t completely numb you, but may bolster your courage a bit.
Hi Kirill
The previous posts are right, for the real "moving" you should go with a well established Belgian Company. If you need local assistance there are some good relocation companies around. The Amt für Wirtschaft lists some companies, just Google "Relocation Zurich".
best regards, Cyril
Hi
I don't understand it fully, are you looking for a new tenant? We might find one in our Network (as we do run an own relocation Company, Prime relocation in Zug). Does the flat belong to you and are you looking for a permanent tenant maybe too?
best regards, Cyril
I see - I highly recommend to insert it via Homegate or Immoscout - this is quite easy and might safe you some costs until September.
best regards,
Cyril
naaa, you enjoy your Swiss wage and start shopping in Germany, France or Italy (all 2.5 hours away at the very most) as well as the Asian and Turkish shops and feel like a king.
@curely Awesome idea, thanks. Asian shop, huh, they are popular in Zurich ? I used to live in S.Korea before belgium and love their food.
