Moving van in Fribourg

Hello,

Can anyone guide me to find a moving van to move some stuffs from a place to other inside Fribourg area?

Will be looking forward for your help!

We ended up renting a van from Mobility for a few hours: http://www.mobility.ch/en/pub/index.cfm . Depending on the size you are looking for, a mini-van and a "transport" vehicle are parked close to the train station.

There used to be a van rental place in the Commercial Centre, Moncor, V-s-G (where Athleticum is).

It was in one the small units along the front side.

I haven't been there for a while, but guess it's still there.

Don't know the name of them, so haven't been able to Google any details.

Thank you Mag and TiMow, I will look as you have suggested.

Best,

Have a look at http://www.location-ottetsa.com/index.htm

Pretty cheap, methinks.

Pretty sure TiMow is talking about a place called Mona Location:

As far as I know, they are still there and pretty cheap.

There is also EasyLoc which has vans and small lorries: http://www.easyloc.ch/

I had to do this recently and joined Mobility - they have a van at the station, in the end it saved me $$ because I forked out 17 francs for the van hire (inclusive of everything, diesel etc) and I make use of the mobility subscription often.

If you don't want to join Mobility for a year, you can also hire the van for 3 hours through SBB at a cost of 70 chf (unlimited kms) - sure might be more than getting a van for a day from one of the other rental places, but the price is all inclusive, so no need to worry about paying per km, having to pay for gas, insurance etc. Info here: http://www.mobility.ch/en/pub/private/clickdrive.htm

It's still there as a friend of mine used it recently. Think she paid 60 or 70 for half a day with 75km given before a per km charge was added. Can find out if you want (or you could contact them yourself ).

The mobility transport van costs 4.40 per hour and .98c per km (on top of the yearly sub).

Thanks pagl57 , kiwigeek and Millso for the helpful information. I will go through them and select the best option. 70chf for half day or even 3hrs looks fair enough .

Confirmed. It's called Mona Location and on the right side before you reach the COOP which has it's entrance to the left at the Belle-Croix shopping center (turn right when you enter the center). The number 2 bus stops right outside (so does the less frequent 338 from the station) if you need public transportation getting there.
