we met up and got a day pass for free and now she's on her way with the train to Lichtenstein, but she will also go to Basel today and thanks so much for everyone.
And ven the sun seems to come out slowly
I think there was a Philatelist Convention in Zürich last week - one of OHs former colleagues from Cambridge was there (not looking for a sofa which is good as we don't have one). If traveling back to Hong Kong, I can imagine the visitor is on to what she can fit in her luggage allowance and potentially reap most profit from upon import, if Liechtenstein stamps are desirable, considering value/kg ratio.
We went to Vaduz once, but think we included a hike in the outing..
Well, we've all been young students so I don't blame her. Getting this free pass helped a lot today though. Maybe the Basel thing is doable until midnight.
I often remind myself that it is, in fact, THEIR vacation, and I try and do whatever I can to accommodate them.
I am the one who is lucky enough to get to live in this paradise year round and if they have had a dream to do something, (no matter how crazy it may seem to me! ), I try and make it happen.
You are a good host. Please let us know what she wants to do tomorrow so we can have another chuckle and help you out, if possible!
I could suggest a cheap a nice place near Zurich that is Rapperswil. It is breath taking view from ship and the rose garden is worth seeing. Few souvenir shops offering nice collectibles. In this weather trip will not be a problem.
