Naming Wireless Networks

I live in a building where there are always notes left in the lobby asking to have access to available wireless networks (sharing with some sort of compensation of course).

I was wondering if there are any rules in Switzerland with respect to naming your wireless networks?

Some people elsewhere have had a bit of fun this way and I was perhaps looking to get some tenants asking to have access to some 'oddly' named SSIDs. Just for my own personal laughs of course.

Just name it what you want.

I saw a good one recently, "Get your own bloody internet".

pen15

(too short, not my pen15, the post)

Set one up with the name "Surveillance[first line of your address]". Bet there won't be any post-its asking for access to that one...

I named mine 'please don't steal my wifi' once

Leave encryption off, call it free public wifi and collect as much dirt as you want on their browsing habits, passwords, conversations etc.*

* may not be 100% legal.

Most of the people (if not all) in my building don't speak english (or don't claim to understand), and many are there temporarily (

Any suggestions?

Thinking along the lines of "Can'tAffordOwnAccess", "Z-Permit", "PWisAlt-F4", "TrojanHorse", "NoSignal", "FBI_surveillance_van_2712". etc.

Yeah's it's a long weekend's Monday, I'm bored.

Some imaginative Wifi network names in a similar discussion on RonOrp recently:

Where XXXXX = Your_Bumhole

After reading this , I've just secured my network.

When we first got dogs I wanted to call one of them Raph but I was overruled. So I named the network Raph instead.
