Need opinion on the spring-latex Hesseng ikea mattress.

Hi,

I have been doing lots of research but I need real life reviews on the mattress. We have a very expensive mattress we bought two years ago and it's a mess. I can't sleep. It's made with memory foam and etc.

I need a firm bed that I won't sink in it, that I will be able to sleep again on my tummy and where I won't sweat like a pig at night. So the hesseng seems to be the mattress for me.

Any experience from fellow sleepers who own this mattress?

Thanks.

hi!

We have the 'soft' hesseng since about 3 weeks and its good.

Took us a couple of nights getting used to it,especially the part about feeling the movement of the other person. But now it is good :-)

Ikea has 90 days period tht you can bring back and exchange so flet like 'safe buying'

Not that one, but I have one from Ikea which is foam/latex combination and it was relatively cheap and is firm.

I personally don't like springs, one generally ends up feeling more pressure where the springs are no? Maybe with good springs mattresses that is not the case, and the combination with latex should help.

With Ikea you can go there and lie down on the mattress. You could even lie down for some 15 min if you wanted, I don't think any of the staff would complain

Thanks for the replies!!!

We will get 2 90x200 so we won't feel each other moving. Hubby sleeps Sheldon's style and I am all over the place.

We will put a piece sold in ikea to cover the separation between both mattresses and we have king size cheats.

I went to ikea yesterday to try them and that was my favorite. I was able to lay on my tummy for a good ten minutes and it was a bliss! The lady who advised me was also very nice and helpful. That one has some kind of system with different parts of springs for different body part.... Or something like that...

With our actual mattress, it's a nightmare. I didn't have a good night sleep in ages and keep waking up at night. And my back in the morning is killing me.

The proof is in the pudding. If it was the most comfortable for you I would get that one.

I don't know about the spring system, possibly they layer it out with more springs in the middle of the mattress and less at each end. (or maybe it is just sales pitch).

But you tried it and liked it, I would take it home. As mentioned before, Ikea are pretty good with returns, so after a few nights sleep you can see if the 10 minutes at the store was a good indication or not.
