[Needed] Spanish speaking lawyer to appeal rejection of a non-EU L permit in Basel

Hi, I wonder if anybody knows about any Spanish or English speaker lawyer to appeal the rejection of an extension of a non-EU L permit in Basel Stadt .

The renewal application is after possessing, consecutively:

- A first L permit for 6 months as Praktikant

- A L permit for 6 months as Postdoktorand

- An extension of the previous L permit for 6 months (with the new EU-Schengen credit-card format).

Therefore, it means 1.5 years so far.

The current application for the renewal of the L permit is for a new period of 6 months. This will complete the 2 years, that is the maximum for the L permit.

I would like to know about any lawyer in Basel with experience in migration issues. Thanks!

Try the foreigners help office from the charity GGG in Basel. They'll have someone who speaks Spanish there, and can at least get you started.

A close friend of me is looking for a French speaking person (or an interpret) who is also fluent in Spanish (or Italian). His mom received a convocation letter in French from the justice of peace (FR) and attendance is mandatory. Her mother tongue is Spanish and she also has good command of Italian. She barely speaks French and no German at all. Thank u for your help.

You could ask for them to provide a translator for her if she can’t find one.
