I just placed an order for an inexpensive, easy-to-install, non-electric (!) pasture fence and will try installing it myself. Who knows? The neighbors might see me and offer to help. Though I’m not holding my breath. More likely, they‘ll be judging me for not wanting their poultry in our garden 
Well I think it is very unusual to raise chickens in a city like Zurich…OMG. (I mean not even considering the hygiene norms required for husbandry!)
I’ve noticed chickens roaming in some yards in our suburban Gemeinde, but I’m sure there’s a fence between properties and they don’t make it into another neighbour’s yard. It’s still rather unusual to see that in Switzerland, where everything is regulated so well, but I take it some people grew up on a farm and are somehow nostalgic, who knows. Many Swiss folks love this kind of stuff - work in a garden etc.
You could also invest in some ultrasonic devices - I think they are popular for repelling cats from gardens but it seems they also work for chickens.
The article also suggests windchimes, which is more of a lo-tech solution but creates a rustling tinkly noise which makes them uneasy and keeps them away.
Ha ha! I think the neighbour farmer’s chickens come just to hear my 3 old Woodstock chimes! Yes, the roaming chickens are a nuisance when then throw my mulch around, but I also credit them for eating a lot of unwanted bugs. It’s because of their love for hazelnut weevil larvae that we had a bumper crop of nuts this year.

But this is definitely a mistake. Halterig means “mount, holder, fixture” (you don’t want them to hang up the chickens when still alive, do you?), so the correct word would be “Haltung von Nutztieren” or in Swiss German “Haltig vo Nutztier”.
