Ordered my nespresso capsules TWO nights ago. Where are they, man? I neeeeeed 'em. Keep checking the front door. No little brown boxes on the doormat. Tea's not doin' it for me today. I need a proper hit. How has this happened to me? I used to make myself a nice strong coffee in a french press and now, where is it? Gone. Lost in the back of the cupboard. No other coffee in the house other than the little pod machine. And look at it. Glaring at me. Laughing that I keep pressing its little buttons to hear the tick, tick, tick telling me my coffee is coming. But it's not. There's no coffee for me.
They've lured me in now and there's no getting out. They've got me. Spare yourselves while you can. Don't say you haven't been warned.
(This post brought to you by a severely caffeine deprived mother of a sick 2 year old).
Get down to a Nespresso retail store and buy a sleeve or two! Hurry now...they might even give you a free coffee when they see you shaking and sweating. You won't be the first to show up in this condition
The most interesting part is this: "Until this month, Nestlé Nespresso SA's eight million clients could use only the brand's own coffee pods in its machines, a system that is protected by 1,700 patents. Now two rivals—American food company Sara Lee Corp. and Swiss startup Ethical Coffee Co.—claim to have found a flaw in Nespresso's patent wall."
Not tried the others personally, but the Nespresso bit is that its a sealed capsule that does not allow air in, the quality of the coffee is very good, and its a true espresso (ie. the water is pressurised not filtered).
I also have a machine and am addicted. I am based in London but frequently in the Flums area . I buy my pods from one of the 2 outlets in London but then I came across an article saying that the patent for the pods with Nespresso is running out this year and that Migros were looking at providing pods at two-thirds the cost to the consumer. I found this forum online as I was searching for some more information and I want to buy some for my swiss machine but also for my london machine. Has anyone else heard that Migros is doing this or developing their own competitive pods ?
I placed an order last saturday night online for nespresso coffee with delivery within 48 hours, it's wednesday and still no coffee in my mailbox. Tried to call nespresso but the 0800 number isn't working. I did receive a confirmation mail when i placed my order. Does anyone have experience with this?
Something you may want / need to consider for future ordering within Switzerland - Saturday and Sunday are not "business days" here, so they didn't even see the order until Monday. Wednesday arrival makes sense with this in mind.
Thank You for your reply. I was hoping to receive it on tuesday :-) but wednesday worked just fine! From now on I will check my stock so I am not stuck with nescafe when I run out of Nespresso :-)
