New Salt 'Swiss' plan --> no more international calls included!

Hi,

If you're a Salt mobile customer, you may have noticed that they changed their subscription plans. I'm on the "Swiss" plan, which means that:

- Before, the plan included 60 mins of international calls to EU/US/Can and 200 MB (but no minutes) in EU/US/Can

- Now, the plan includes 500 MB in EU/USA as well as 60 mins of calls in EU/US/Can (good news) but no more international calls (bad news!)

I called Salt and they said that until the end of my contract, I will remain on the old plan and then, when I renew, they'll move me to the new one. But I hate losing the international calls (it's expensive if not included, 79 c/min!)... so not sure what to do.

Pity that they didn't offer a compromise: for example 30 mins of international calls and 30 mins of roaming calls...

Change to a different plan/supplier

Call using Whatsapp.

Check out Yallo FAT with 50% off, it's pretty much like salt swiss plus was before...

And if you want to sign up let me know, I will give you referral code and you (and me as well) will get 1 month free.

Do people still make phone calls?

Yeah, you guys are right... we don't make as many phone calls anymore and most of the time, it's possible to call through whatsapp. Still, sometimes i have to make actual phone calls abroad so it was handy to have those included in the plan...

@Jaceq: I'll let you know if Salt ticks me off enough to make the switch! For now anyway, i'm still on the old plan for another year and knowing salt, they'll probably change their plans again until next year so I'll see what's what in a year's time.

Thanks!

Not useful if you need to call a landline( any office/work call)

You could use the Wifi-Calling feature, O.P.make sure you have a strong Wifi signal. You might find a bit of delay though, between the caller and callee.

Wifi calling works to call while you're abroad without roaming fees.

It doesn't work if you need to call abroad from Switzerland and don't have international calls included in your plan.
