I really can't stop thinking about this new fad. Where is it sold here? Should I get it elsewhere? I should probably log in the FWP thread that the cost of the one I used to have will be nowhere near the same..but still. And the colors, too. Wunderbar.
I hope you read details of the phone. Its a 2G phone. Swisscom going to phase out 2G by the end of 2020.
https://www.swisscom.ch/en/about/med...e-Zukunft.html Others may follow too. After that you may use it as a music or FM player
Hi, simple person..
Oh, no. Three years with Nokia 3310? I wonder if it is worth it.
Might be a waste of money. I know that Swisscom is phasing out the 2G network - at least for public use, and the new 3310 is what's known as a 2.5G phone. I'm not sure about the other carriers, but given that relatively few people actually use the 2G network these days it makes little sense to plough money in to keep on maintaining it.
So even if you did get one it's useful life may well be limited here.
Edit - beaten to it, as usual.
Argh. There is quite a campaign at home, I wonder if CZ market is on 2G..etc. It doesn't look expensive there, either. Maybe I should get it for there, I keep using my CH phone and roaming fees are daftly high. It is so pretty, as a chick accessory...I am not into shoes/purses at all, but this red/yello thing is hot!
What about the US and 2G? I didn't know countries differ in this.. I never watch my cell when there since I am always on wifi there.
I need to figure out where i put my old 3330...
I know. It was such robust, amazing service. I had a couple of Nokias, incl. 5150, I charged 1x2wks.
I like this retro fashion, the new 3310 looks great. Minus the robust goodness, I can imagine.
Its really strange that they didn't create a simple phone and texting device that would work on 3g and 4g Networks? This phone is supposed to relaunch Nokia in the public eye, but I think they are just shooting themselves in the feet again.
Totally - it's baffling me also. It's not like putting in a basic 3G modem is expensive these days.
If I can guess, as a non-expert, they just want to mince it up. The 3G/4G will be a new model/toy to drool over and spend cash on. If it will be the same, I can wait. A year?
Looks like Poland already sells it, for 50Euro?
its something for 10 year olds as their first phone
Your having a laugh, 10 year olds will want a 4g smartphone.
Hahaha.. Its only for those who still make traditional calls a lot .. My most of the calls are now shifted to whatsapp, skype calls. I would skip surfing rather than doing it on 2G.
I doubt that as well. My 2.5 year old daughter normally searches for youtube icon in a phone. If she does not find, she throws it away and says kaputt .
OH's is sitting in the kitchen cupboard, along with all his previous phones. It's the cupboard right next to the one chockablock full of those useful plastic bags that we always forget to take when we go shopping but daren't throw away because they're bad for the environment.
Apparently the new version will be going on sale any minute now, and cost around €50.

You guys are making me feel so young...10yr/5yr/2yr olds. Ok.
Well, it is true that I am not huge on online life and when I forget my cell at home I am the happiest.
This thing is pretty! But it does seem useless
My 10yr old wants an electric guitar
And squats my cell to text her buddies, I don't really think kids want to carry anything with them. Their pockets are their parents' pockets, tbh.
coincidentally I have a top e Guitar at home. My son has not used it for many years. Thats the destiny for alot of e guitars.
Yep. I can imagine..Probably similar "arnaque" as a blow-up doll vs real chick. Though, I don't have any personal experience.
