Nokia N95 - review

Now that the iPhone hype has simmered down to a rolling boil, can anyone give me their view of the N95 from Nokia ?

Am looking to use it for remote email (checking rather than writing) & Voice over WiFi ....

Thanks

P

(please lets not turn this into Sony Ericsson is better or have I seen the latest LG, am interested in this for a number of reasons)

SE is...nah...let's leave it there

Oh so nerdy, no review, but incredibly cheesy hack.

I'm also interested in getting this phone. I haven't used it yet but some reviews here:

Overall seems quite positive!

I had one at my last company and it was great, a couple of things to watch out for,

Battery life is not good if you are used to a simpler phone, but as I switched from a Mobile 5 phone this wasn't something I really noticed.

And if you are interested in the GPS then note that at the moment only the built in mapping software works with the phone (So no TomTom or Navision) and it downloads the maps via GPRS so if you are paying your own bills this could be a problem.

Other than that it was great, very good camera, and everything worked as advertised

I want to groan you twelvety times .....

Maploader ( http://www.nokia.com/A4353385 ) saves the GPRS bill here.

N95 - Battery life poor, GPS virtually unusable, camera good in the right lighting conditions, SIP phone - ok, not as good as the e61 for some reason.

GPS & battery are not my major issues .... lightweight, functional & good mobile email over WiFi are my drivers ....

Apparently, according to a friend at cisco - an update to the firmware helps with the battery life

There is another GPS phone in the market Nokia 6101 navi. Looks very simple and not as expensive as N95. And you don't have to pay for using Navigation system. Any experiences...

Just a bump on this for Amba ...

Also, interesting marketing from Nokia for the N95

Hi Polorise, I eventually got the E65, and at the moment aren't sure I made the right decision. It's got a 'good feel' in your hands but a couple of things have bugged me already. So probably should have stuck to the original idea of N95!
