I am a non-EU citizen and have a B permit. I want to change my job but I don't know if my visa is bound to my employer (the question most employers ask). On my permit, only the name of canton, zemis nr., and the day I entered Switzerland are mentioned. How can I know if it's tied to my employer.

Looks like you’ve been here less than a year, so it almost certainly is tied to your employer. Is there nothing written under “anmerkungen”?
I see you are in Zurich , you can do what 1 recruiter suggested a few years back

Are you working for a swiss organization or did you travel here on the B permit from a non-eu based organization ?
as Island Monkey suggested , if you are in for <5 years there is very limited chance its not tied to an employer.
I am working for a swiss company and its been an year now. Under 'anmerkung' only berechtigt zur erwerbstätigkeit is mentioned, not the company name. Well I don't work or live in Zurich, I dunno if I can still fill this form and ask.
Does it say that on the front? Does it say anything else on the back?
You can’t ask Zürich if you don’t live there, you need to ask your Gemeinde.

yes, in front only this is written, the rest is my details and at back its the date of issue of permit, canton, zemis nr., and "selbst.erwernstätigkeit ist bewilligungspflichtig, which means self-employment is subject to approval, if I am right.
well, the link you sent for the forum, isn't really correct. I got the B permit from the very beginning, though its valid for only 1 year, unlike for EU, which is 5y from the beginning. Since, I have an unlimited contract, it doesn't really matter, except for money and time

https://www.vs.ch/web/sict/permis-de-travail When you indicate 'third state', 'swiss employer' and '365+ days', the document is very clear that you get a B, but only after having an L for 24 months. That's also exactly the situation I'm in myself, and we're getting L again after renewal because we still need 12 more months. That information was confirmed to me be the migration office on more than one occasion. Like I said in that thread, there are certainly exceptions, but not sure on what basis. I guess that was your case. Or you had already had an L permit for 24 months in another canton?
Yes, the migration clerks in Valais are sometimes a bit clueless about the right to work associated with permits. Better to call the SICT, they're the ones actually in charge of the work authorisation.
My point was people are giving you links that are irrelevant because your location here in Switzerland is incorrect. Which wastes their time and doesn’t help you at all.
I had the same question some time ago: ended up calling immigration office - they've asked some details (like name and permit number) and told me my status
Does your permit also looks like mine? Is it tied or open? I called the immigration office in my city but they didn't seem to have information themselves. Perhaps I have to call SICT.

Your permit does sound open though. When it's tied to the employer, it usually says "change of position or profession subject to approval".
