Non-EU B permit open or tied

Finally got my B work permit. Now I am also curious about if it is open or tied to my employer. Based on other threads, AWA seems to be the right one to ask.

However, since my job is in Zug and I live in Zurich (permit issued by Zurich), I am wondering I should ask AWA in Zurich or Zug?

It should be stated in the letter that came with the permit iirc. I doubt it would be an open B to start with, that’s a very rare occurrence.

Zurich since they issued the permit.

Zug since they issued your authorization to work in Zug. In Zurich you are allowed to live not work.
