Non EU B Permit tied to employer - Specific situation

I am an Indian national, working in Solothurn for 4 years. My B permit is tied to my employer and the project I am working on at my end client.

My end client has offer me a permanent local Swiss contract and is willing to apply for my B permit.

My current B permit expires in Dec 2022 so I will be asking my current employer to file an extension soon

I wanted to know in terms of timing, should I ask my current employer to secure a B permit extension for 2023 and then ask my end client to get me another B permit for the new role?

What happens if my new employer (end client) applies for a new B permit and it is not granted by Bern? Can I still ask my current employer to file my extension as they have been doing since last 4 years

And finally, are there any relaxations in terms of applying for the B permit with my new employer as they are in the end the end client for whom I have been working.

I heard somewhere that if B permit is tied to employer and specific project for the end client, and if end client offers a permanent contract, they might not have to play the proving game I.e. advertising the role for 3 months, proving nobody is suitable in EU, etc

First get the Extension from your current Employer- this would take less time and provided all the documents are submitted. My experience, migration tries its best to get the current year backlog completed as much as possible.

Later, ask your new employer(Client) to file next year, that would be the safest option.
