My Husband and I would like to move to Switzerland. We would like to know if as EU Citizen's wife I would have the right to work inmediatly.
Thanks
I have other questions:
* Do I need Visa to enter to Switzerland? As Tourist (3 months) I do not need because I have my UK residence and working permit and that is enough . But If I move with my husband to CH , should I ask for different entry visa?
* Let me know if I am correct ... :
According to the rules , If my husband and I arrive to CH , We will have a permit for 6 months to find a job . If I get a job first than my husband (EU Citizen), what kind of permit wil I get? or my husband has to find first the job and then recently I will be able to obtain the permit?
Please could you somebody calrify that.
Thanks

If coming as a job-seeker he will get 3 months to find a job during which time he must be self supporting (and wife supporting) and cannot claim any benefits. After 3 months, he may get an extension for a further 3 months to look for a job. You would not be eligible to work until he gets the permit i.e. until he gets a job.
If you are currently based in the UK then it seems risky to go down the road you seem to be planning - far better to find a job first, then move to Switzerland.
I have other questions:
My husband was thinking to declarate as Self-employer as he is IT consultant. What kind of documents are required for that?
One company in Switzerland is interesting to hire me and they would like I start as soon as we are in Switzerland. How long will it take to have the permit?
Thanks

Anybody knows if I will need an special entry Visa for Switzerland?
As I am not Non - EU citizen ...
IT consultant is a tricky one for declaring as self employed - need to prove multiple clients etc.
According to Swiss rules that is not problem , only he has to show a revenue of min 55 K CHF of justify enough money to support a family and we have that. Money is not the problem...
And I would like to have a job before I arrive that to stay at home and looking for a one , that is why I started to apply for a job in Switzerland... And that company is interested on my profile.
That is why I wanted to know if it will take long to have the permit to tell to this company . Please could you let me know how long it will take ?

It's clear to me that you are trying to work the system - so it will be just as clear to the authorities .
In your particular situation you won't know for sure how long the process will take until you register. It is normal for a B permit for self employment to be issued for 6 months (if the self employment is accepted) and then the business is scrutinised to see if it is viable. It is just possible that you would have to wait until the end of that 6 month period.
It is only that this opportuty appeared when I applied for a job , that is why I wanted to inform to know how I should proceed.
I am tired that some people think that because I am not EU-citizen I will take advantage of the system ! sorry to be rude, but I am only asking the matters to know the truth and to proceed correctly. That is why I want to know if I will be able to obtain a working permit or not. That is my right as EU-citizen's wife.
I was thinking it was a forum to help and not to judge !
To answer your question, if your husband does not move here and the company wants to hire you, they will have to jump through the same hoops as when hiring a non-EU national.
I have a lot of experience in dealing with permit applications and I know that your situation as described will lead to questions being asked and the potential that unless your partner either finds employment or successfully established a business you may (that's only may) have problems so don't shoot the messenger because you don't like the message.
One think you could consider is having your partner start a GmbH which removes the question of self employment. I think that would be a much simpler approach for you.
Anyway we will call to the Foreign Polizei to know more about it.

That is why I was asking about Self-employer. My only matter was to know how long it will take the permit to be done ... and if I should ask to that company to wait for me until I get the permit...
Anyway, thanks for you help .... tomorrow we will call the Cantonal office responsible for that.

Or am I missing the point?
First coming as jobseekers.....
then coming as self employed plus a job offer......
and then carrying on an existing business.....
... and finally opening a branch of an existing UK company.
It's hard to provide useful information when the goal posts keep moving. When talking to the Swiss authorities stick to one story .
