Hello Forum friends ,
Please guys i need your help about my case, I am a NON-EU and 9 months in a relationship with a Swiss girlfriend we are both athletes and we knew each other from competitions worldwide, in the last 9 months we kept seeing each other in different countries and I visit her also in her house and she came also , but lately we have been searching for a way to be together in Switzerland and marriage is not an option yet for us, I am from a north African Arabic country, she doesn't want that I stay illegal in the country and that's not an option for me too due to my competitions , I don't care about how good is Switzerland and all that they say about foreigners using swiss girls to obtain permits , I only care about that girl and I don't want to lose her because she just ended our relation saying that our future is impossible cuz we couldn't find any solution and i am ready to do whatever to not lose the love of my life .
Can anyone help me or suggest something to do to be together I really don't want to end this relation 😭
Some friends told me that if I get a Spanish residence permit with the money I could go to Switzerland and switch that Spanish permit to a swiss permit if I find a job.
is this True?
are there any other solutions?
Concubine is possible for us?
if yes what are requirements?
I am in a deeply sad and I only want someone to help Please !!!!!
Thank you and sorry for being long 🙏🏽
Welcome to the Forum.
1. No. Having a Spanish residence permit doesn't allow you to reside Switzerland or somehow let you out of the regular permit requirements for non-EU citizens.
2. Get married or obtain your own, independent permit by finding a job here. Any employer needs to prove they can't find a Swiss or EU for the job. You mention competitions. Maybe you're an amazing competitor on the international stage and a club here would be willing to pursue a permit for you? I don't know.
3. Maybe. She'd have to sign to be financially responsible for you for 5 years, which seems a huge step for her given you've only been together for 9 months. The authorities would probably want to see a long-term, committed relationship that is likely on the path to marriage as well. Whether 9 months is enough to convince them is hard to say. Not all cantons have the permit; here's a link to one that does: http://www.vd.ch/themes/vie-privee/p...s-du-concubin/
Here's another link that might have helpful info: https://www.ch.ch/en/cohabiting/
Sorry you're in this situation. If marriage isn't in the cards, then the two of you need to decide how much effort you're both willing to put in to make it last. Perhaps moving to a different country where neither of you has permit issues would be an option?
Best of luck to you.
Hey 3Wishes thank you for your time ,
I have read that the Spanish residence permit allows you to stay in Switzerland for a duration of 3 months and then leave the country for couple days and then come back this for me is better than staying in Switzerland with just the tourist visa that allows staying 3 months out of 6 months, if this solution is true I can just search someone who is willing to get me a job undeclared because in my situation when I play one fight and win I can not work for a whole year, do you have any information on this 3 months staying and leaving for couple days my friend ?
and No my girl or maybe my Ex-now is not willing to leave her country?
I am willing to do whatever and buy the Spanish permit and leave everything in my country for her but she not! but at the same time, she says I am a perfect boyfriend, etc...
so it's about the future situation that puts pressure on herself !!
Undeclared job? Best way to make sure you will not be able to enter Switzerland and the Schengen area for a couple of years
you mean if I get caught doing so?
I didn't know that, but I'm just out of ideas that's the reason that I submit my question in here.
it's just a random helpless person who answers my friend sorry if I said something wrong.
Hoping someone will give a golden solution that will save his relation.
If your friend is as keen to have you here she can help you find a job and that all depends on what you can do.
Does she think there still is a relation?
Thank you for the time given to answer my question,
Do you mean to find a job that will get me a residence permit, I have mentioned that I am a NON-EU that mean my chances to get a residence permit from a job are Very Low due to the rule that says that the employer needs to justify that he already looked for a swiss citizen or an EU citizen before choosing a NON-EU for this spot.
My skills are all in sports I have a two years university diploma in sports science and training, and I am a high-level fighter!
I don't think if a club is capable of getting me a residence permit with a sports contract I guess only football and basketball and sports like this have the ability for that due to their huge bank account!
it's only a guess that I think its logic!
I didn't talk with my girl yet about the relation still searching for solutions to propose !!
I don’t really see a solution for this unfortunately. You simply won’t get a permit independently since you need a job for that and I doubt you have the qualifications/skills to put you into a niche enough area for an employer to risk applying for a permit for you.
You mention undeclared, but a) that’s illegal and b) wouldn’t get you a permit anyway.
For a concubine permit she would have to agree to be financially responsible for you for 5 years, you probably wouldn’t be able to work with that permit and I fear the relationship simply hasn’t been in existence long enough to meet Swiss standards.
As for the Spanish permit idea IF you could get it, it only allows you to be here as a tourist for a maximum of 3 months and not to leave for a couple of days and then return for another 3 months. Your Spanish permit will require you to be spending the majority of your time in Spain, not here. And again as a tourist you are not allowed to work here. If you do so you risk being found out and barred not only from Switzerland, but the whole of the Schengen Area for several years.
I appreciate your answer in the help of my case, I just want to save this relation no matter what, but I guess all the answers refer to as what it called a two-person effort, my plan was to stay together as long as possible till we see marriage is a good idea and we are completely perfect together for a marriage life, but I guess if I follow this plan I will be following the illegal way and sacrifice everything and when some problem happens in this relation I won't just be single but also without a future or plan neither in my sport career or professional career
NOT A FAIR WORLD !!
No, the world isn’t fair.
But I also have to say are you sure she’s not using this as an excuse to dump you? Because frankly if you both really REALLY want it you can make a long distance relationship work. Plenty of people have done it and for a lot longer time than 9 months. If you both want this as badly as you suggest then you should be able to find a way. Okay it won’t be living together for months at a time and yes, that’s hard in a newish relationship, but it’s not the end of the world either. You can keep visiting back and forth and enjoy the time you spend together, Skype or equivalent when you can’t, etc, etc.
You answer was just like a light in the darkness, i guess what you are saying is maybe true , maybe its only me who want this to work so bad, maybe its not same in the other part, but I loved her truly and i dont want to say anything bad about her i can't she is a very important person.
Guess i can just wait for a miracle to come and all this change for better, but for now and in the real world i have to surrender to the fact that i lost her 😭😭
A Spanish residence permit is of no use in Switzerland.
