Nutella cookies?

Did a search (on EF) and didn't find anything. Has anyone made cookies with Nutella? I want to make peanut butter cookies for me, but OH prefers Nutella. I thought maybe I could do a split batch of dough? To me, Nutella is far more oily than the regular PB I use and has plenty of sugar already in it...so I am not sure how to modify the recipe to get them to come out right. Can I still use applesauce as a substitute for some of the sugar or will the flavor get way too bizarre? Any tips appreciated!

There are plenty of recipes on the internet. Here's one:

Google "nutella cookies" and you can see many more.

I'd still try the same amount of Nutella as you did with PB.

Come on - is there such a thing as "EVER have enough Nutella!?"...

If you have Nutella left over;

Mug of hot milk

"Heaped" (both sides) teaspoon of Nutella

Stir well to dissolve

Add large slug of amaretto

I invented that

Though like most of my inventions, somebody probably got there before me. Did I ever tell you I invented continental drift?

I have no idea how to bake one, but I want to try one!!!

I'm first on line for the degustation! I loooove Nutella

I did see Google results, but thought I would ask if anyone here had experience working with it, and if they'd substituted applesauce at all. I don't like Nutella (I can't stand hazelnuts, no idea why) so I am going to have to rely on people who know what this *should* taste like to get it right.

Cookies again, what is it with people...

I'm kidding. I share your Nutella antipathy. And need a solid simple recipe for ginger snaps, anyone?

By the way, www.cooksillustrated.com my fav cooking reference will probably have it. Can't link, sorry, on 3rd world gadget.

Ok, I'll bravely sacrifice myself and taste them for you to see if they're good!

Aha. I just made some oatmeal, raisin, coconut cookies and experimented and used maple syrup and applesauce. You'll have to be brave and pioneer your own Nutella cookies- then share your success or failure with the rest of us.

I have made these twice and they're great! I make them without the icing. http://www.thekitchn.com/halloween-r...-kitchn-179345

Saturated fats, vanillin, 21 grams of sugar, 200 calories, and 11 grams of fat per serving... yum yum

Live a little, dear. Plus by doing with applesauce you save on fat, sugar, and cals.

This has really turned into a fat birds thread.

All my preconceptions are now shattered.

Or instead you could just eat less of them.

This never works, eating less but you can try... I am still looking for perfect oatmeal cookies recipe. There are so many possibilities. You can add dry fruits, fresh apple, pieces of chocolate too, I just don't see this " eating less of them" happening in my case

I tried this recipe from Giada for a party and people liked it. Ingredients are very simple and so is prep.

Nutella = yum.

Peanut butter = yum.

General chocolate = yum.

Oatmeal =

Nigella Lawson's Nutella Cake is really good, easy to make, gluten-free, and cocaine free too.

Yesterday I saw a friend whose daughter had made out of some left puff pastry some parcels filled with Nutella and strawberries - really nice combination.

Seriously, a whole tub of nutella in just one cake?? Why bother with the rest of the ingredients. Just spoon in the nutella ...
