Interesting - I just got a Blackberry handset from O2 in UK but it won't accept my Swisscom sim, I've looked online for unlocking services but many look like scams or take 2-3 weeks to supply the unlock code.
Does anyone know if there are any unlocking shops in Zurich (like the ones in the UK where you take your phone in and they unlock on the spot)?
Hi Lob - for now I'll just be using it as a normal phone (i.e. not using blackberry service or blackberry email server), so I guess it shouldn't be a problem to just drop the Swisscom SIM in right?
For those of you who understand German, have a look at this forum . You have to give them your IMEI and they give you the code to remove the SIM lock. Worked for me and was way cheaper than if Swisscom had it done for me.
If someone doesn't understand enough German and trusts me, I could post the request for him/her...
anyone with any information on where to get this done in the basel area would be much appreciated. o2 won't give me the code as the phone hasn't been on with them for 12months...
I'm working on it, damo, but I haven't yet received an answer. It seems to be difficult to unlock it because it's less than 2 years old. I'll keep you posted.
I read through the thread and it had been asked before, but couldn't find an answer yet ...
Any one knows a place where I can unlock a t-mobile (germany) simlock (Sony Ericsson K510i). Have found a tip saying "davinciteam.com" somewhere but they do not support SE K510i.
Can't believe that there is no possibility in Zurich to get a foreing phone unlocked. I doubt I can do something with flash/unlock cables myself ... will probably destroy the phone doing that.
Or do I have to travel to London to get it unlocked?
