Oh my fatty balls and hanging nutsack....[bird food]

I feed the wild birds on the balcony, getting the peanuts/fat balls from Fressnapf in Germany.

However there are also visiting red squirrels and they have been digging up walnuts they buried in the plant pots from last spring.

Does anyone know where I can get 'animal' quality walnuts or don't they exist?

Currently I get them from the supermarket.

No idea, sorry.

But check the fat balls and hanging sacks for ingredients- the cheaper ones are made with palm oil- and I can't see the point in feeding birds with what is killing the orang-outangs and the rain forest. None in Coop ones in CH, so I stick to that, even if a bit more expensive.

You might try Hornbach, in the aisle with the wild bird food.

Last year I mistakenly bought a bag of squirrel food - mixed nuts and such - instead of bird seed. Don't know if that was a one-off, or if it is a product they standardly carry.
