I would say the Swiss equivalents of Amazon and ebay are Galaxus and Ricardo , respectively.
But it's also possible for us to shop on Amazon.de (or Amazon.fr in your case) and have our goodies delivered to Switzerland. In cases where they don't ship to Switzerland, you can pick up your items from a parcel shop across the border.
Hence, I would always compare Swiss and foreign offers.
Anything specific you have in mind?

The problem I find with Amazon now is that they are so often an agent for smaller companies and when you eventually find your 4 Euro part that is unavailable in Switzerland, they either slap on a 50 Euro delivery charge or as 4rt wrote, refuse to deliver to Switzerland.
If you live near the border then you're okay.
I am generally looking an online platforms for my Christmas shopping so a marketplace with a broad array of options.
Also, thinking in terms of offers where sometimes shipping costs are waved off but are these offers for their respective regions (Ex. French address for amazon.fr)?
at least one book is included in your package, or the gross value of your order exceeds 29 EUR I've covered that in my post .
The offer ends 30 April 2016.
Here is the summary of what Amazon.de says about free delivery .
For the shipping speed "Standardversand" (standard shipping: books, music, DVDs, video), shipping is free if: at least one book is included in your package, or the gross value of your order is at least 29 EUR
So what I wrote above is still valid.
On top of that, if you order your goods using the shipping speed "AmazonGlobal Schweiz" (much bigger choice of products) before April 30, 2016, shipping is free for purchases worth 49 EUR or more.

And here is what Amazon.fr says :
Shipping of books, CD, DVD, Blu-ray, video games or software to Switzerland is free if the gross order value is at least 25 EUR . If you order any other item before April 30, 2016, shipping is free for purchases worth at least 49 EUR .
I hope they're going to remove the expiration date of their offer.
If you are looking for books, thalia.ch has been great for me too. Yes, even though they are a little more expensive then amazon would typically be. But at the time, for what I was looking for, the price was almost the same.
Good luck!
This year I found that the toys (specially Lego) are not really cheaper in Amazon.de than in CH although the new offer "AmazonGlobal Schweiz", where delivery is free from 49 EUR. So, I have ended up purchasing almost all of the XMas toys at Microspot and Coop.
So, my original complaint is still valid.
You can now view Amazon.de in English if you so desire.
The "I want to compete with Amazon"-marketplace from Coop and Swisscom.
Hosting the site that you hope competes with your competitor at your competitor.
Who came up with that idea?
