Hi

just a short Question..I am on Page 1...(I know I got far )....and when I enter my Ahv-Nr. it doesnt allow for the full number to be put in - in the field. Does anyone know anything about this ?

Also what is a AHVN13 ?... as far as I know I only have an AHV - Nr !!!

I could be mistaken, but I think they introduced a new system with a new number format. I have an older A6-size "Versicherungsausweis" I received when I first to Switzerland years ago (AHV No. format: nnn.nn.nnn.nnn) and then a credit card size card I received a year or two back (AHV No. format: nnn.nnnn.nnnn.nn).

I guess counting the number of digits, the new format has 13 numbers and the previous one had 11. I think my steuerklarung had both numbers on it, but could be mistaken. So I would say you have a new AHV number and you're trying to enter it into the field for the old format. Instead you should be entering it into the AHVN13 field at a guess. If you don't have the older AHV number, leave it blank at a guess.

AHVN13 is the "new" (introduced 2008) 13 digit AHV number. It always begins with 756 in Switzerland.

The old AHV numbers are being phased out. Anyone registered after 2009 never got an old number.

Ask your employer for your new AHV card number. Those were sent in 2009 over a period of 6-9 month to all the employers but the mess was such that some just stored them waiting for the AHV offices to be able to work with these numbers properly.
