Open day at Ardon Animal Shelter September 30

Hi all. Just to confirm, there is an open day at the Valais refuge from 11am on Sunday September 30th. If you are in the area and are in a position to take a pet, they would be delighted to see you. They currently have over 30 dogs and 100 cats of all ages, shapes and sizes looking for good homes. If you can't make it on 30th you can call in any Saturday afternoon to discuss an adoption. Check out the website or contact me if you have any questions. Details as follows:

I hope to be able to visit the Shelter on Sunday. I just visited their website, and saw that, at long last, Ginger is out on trial adoption. Keeping everything crossed for a successful conclusion!

She is sitting at my feet as we speak :-). We collected her Saturday. Integration is going ok with one of my dogs (also ex Ardon, remember Sniff the bichon, now called Sid) the other (Jessie, female like ginger) is not happy. Fingers crossed we can work it out harmoniously within the 2 week trial period... I will keep you posted!

Well, yet another coincidence Irishgirl! Ginger seems so cute from her pics, and the description of the her character made me think "why hasn't she been adopted"! I'm sure Jessie will come round in time, and look forward to an update.

And if you don’t find a suitable pet there, then the Fribourg SPA at Lully are celebrating their 125th year with an open day the following Saturday, 6th October from 11am to 5pm. So two great chances to give a loving pet a forever home.

Good luck with the adoption irishgirl and hope everyone settles down and they get on well together. Will keep fingers crossed for success.

Well, I went to the Open Day, and came away wishing I hadn't. There were quite a few people there, despite the awful weather. So many beautiful dogs - wish I could adopt them all!

Know what you mean, Merrylegs. Our hearts are big enough, unfortunately our houses aren’t. But we do what we can and everyone who gives a rescued animal a new “forever” home is a star.
