Oral-B toothbrush heads

I'm wondering whether Oral-B has the same toothbrush heads all over the world, including of course Switzerland. I obviously won't bother dragging my electric toothbrush with me if the heads are different.

Also, does anyone have any idea how much these heads are?

My toothbrush looks very much like this one:

Yes, and that link you provided said it's compatible with all round heads. I buy them in the US, and here. I think the cost here is about chf 25 for a 3 pack, more or less depending on specials.

I have the same toothbrush and the heads are the same fit all over the world. They are quite expensive here, so bring a supply of heads with you if possible, unless you will be able to shop in France or Germany where they are a lot cheaper.

I can't remember the prices off te top of my head, sorry.

You want to check the electrical input on your charger. Someone else from the USA found out that the charger is only 120v - 60 cycle and not dual voltage as are some electrical items.

You might end up buying the toothbrush here but come with some extra brushes.

Lukki,

Oral B heads will be the same size all over the world. Price-wise, the heads are cheaper, in general, in the US compared to Switzerland. You can, however, find pretty good deals on them even in Switzerland. For example, we sell them to our patients at cost at our dental practice in Cham, which works out to be slightly cheaper then you can find them in the US at Costco or Walmart. Check with your dentist to see if they run a similar deal. You can also find occasional deals on them online.

As Verbier stated, you should definitely buy your toothbrush in Switzerland (or neighboring countries) as the toothbrushes in the US use the 120 volt/60 Hz versus the 220 volt/50 Hz used here.

Does anyone know where you can get Oral B Pro Expert toothpaste. The blue gel. I was in Spain all summer and as a smoker , red wine and coffee drinker I need a good product. This one is quite remarkable and really does clean and whiten the teeth by several shades.

thx

It may be called Colgate MaxWhite ONE in CH.

Here is a photo. You can buy if from Manor or Coop City (this is a special duo pack). It is a blue gel as well and it whitens teeth.

I only discovered yesterday that all Oral B round heads are not the same! I bought six, but they dont fit my toothbrush, bought in CH. So check that the ones you buy are for the model you have.

If anyone is looking Migros has the Oral-B Professional Care 500 on special for CHF 40 instead of CHF 80. This model has the 4x30 sec. timer system.

Special is on until 4.11.2013

an old skool cricketer. respekt!

Um, yes and no. Most chargeable devices, and especially ones that can presumably be used while traveling, are quite capable of taking in anything from 100...240V. In olden times they didn't necessarily say this out loud, but even then they would very rarely fry when connected to high voltage mains.

Check the label and buy where the price is best. You can save the difference for the US-CH adapter.

(When working with non-chargeable electronics, though, check and double-check. There's absolutely no reason to build 100..120V transformers these days, but some manufacturers, for their own reasons, do, and when you plug one of those in jet lagged and confused about where you are, the magic smoke escapes.)

@atamar

It is normally best to have a bit of information about the specific subject at hand before making a general comment that may confuse people.

For whatever reason, the European Oral-B chargers are 220-240v and 50/60 hz only. They are NOT 110-220 !
