Orange CH name change - 23.04.2015

I'd take the whole thing with a pinch of.... ah yes, I see.

Maybe a premium service provider will be able to get their sodding website working.

I am only hoping that like in france and in .li they are a reasonable

steal of a deal... we can only hope..

Have been on a rolling contract so if it gets super expensive I'll just jump ship to UPC who are fairly cheap at first glance.

Aye those UPC deals look really good, they are on the Orange (as we currently call them) network so still the 2nd best coverage though.

Interesting to see what happens; the entire family are with Orange..

The future's bright the future's salty.

Not got the same ring really.

Yes, the future's salty

I am very curious as to who thought that up. Salt.......

They will be introducing something called a SALT PASS in june..

PAY one time use ALL YEAR... go way to get out $$$ in advance

Have to wait and see. the prepay options better be good.... Warming

up my number ready to move.

Yes I wonder what do they expect people to think when they see salt.

SALT seems to be the new name - that probably not only boggles my mind.

The only new offer is the "Salt Pass," where you pay the whole year in one go, for CHF 999/year. Unlimited international + Unlimited surf + Unlimited SMS/MMS.

That's CHF 83.25/month.

Cheaper than what I'm paying Swisscom at the moment, which is a bit of a bugger 'cause I just got a new handset and tied myself into them for another 2 years. Ah well.

Oh, and breaking news - in response to this aggressive rebranding manoeuvre by Orange, Sunrise have announced that they will henceforth be known as Pepper. (yeah, I'll get my coat)

Looks like I'll be contacting upc shortly so.

And we all know that Unlimited in Orange language means "unlimited up to a limit".

I'll never go back to Orange, regardless of name, so I havent bothered with the fine print. But I'm prepared to make a bet "premium numbers" are not included. And as those of us having had Orange knows, that is where Orange is at its worst. They have no problems ripping of their customers and then conveniently blaming it on the third party provider.

How decidedly underwhelming that all was, eh?

I'd think about switching, but my daughter's sub is tied to mine, and the notice periods don't coincide.

Not bad. I pay more for my current Orange Me subscription (to which I am tied to for the future). Wonder whether they would allow shifting to the Salt Pass.

This is slightly confusing...does this just mean all calls, SMS, data etc used INSIDE Switzerland is included (i.e. I can phone a friend in France, but I can't phone a friend in CH from France).

I.e. is roaming included?

Only from Switzerland.

There is a "Euro pass" for 1199fr which includes free roaming and 1GB roaming data in EU.

That would really be a "shaker" to the CH telekom industry
