Parcel or Postal Services in German border

Hi, I've searched the forum for advice on which postal or packages services are available near Zurich, for example in Waldshut or so, but I couldn't find anything.

I need to be able to receive packages from Germany for example from crocs.eu or amazon.de and ship them to a postal service in Waldshut or any other place near Zurich and get an email with the alert that I received something.

I found this provider: https://www.deutsche-lieferadresse.com/

But their website is all in German. I would prefer to have all the information in English so I can clarify all my doubts.

Do you have experience or can recommend other postal services that offer this? Any advices?

Thanks a lot for your comments and help!

I use grenzpacket.de

The website it in German but it's relatively easy. You register for free on the website choosing the branch you want to use. I use the Jestetten one. They email you when your parcel arrives. You pay an amount in chf or € depending on your preference. You sign a form saying you have received the goods from grenzpacket.

That's it.

I think Mandy Klein's website is in English but she is in Konstanz.

I was a bit nervous the first time I used the service but it works really well and I'm happy with it.

Thanks for your feedback, we just come back from a long lunch in Waldshut and took note of two others:

- Swiss Paket: http://www.swiss-paket.de/

- Euro Paket Shop: http://www.europaketshop.ch/

We are going to research a bit.

Im using Swiss Packet and Im very happy about service.

I have used europaketshop for the last year and I am very happy with the service. The prices are good and their location is great. They notify you as soon as they receive a package under your name. Highly recommended!

Was trying to find a company I came across a few years ago, something like Eurotour but can't find them (yet).

Came across this though:

http://www.swissinfo.ch/eng/saving-m...order/30470210

Found it:

http://euroretour.ch/

Do any of these services also forward the parcel to you (instead of waiting for you to come and get it) from a Swiss address?

This one ships but used to charge the difference between German and Swiss VAT:

https://meineinkauf.ch

Actually they claim back German VAT, pay Swiss VAT and duty and keep the difference plus charge for delivery.

If you order delivery to a German address from a French seller, is French or German VAT applied? Or does does it perhaps depend on the actual rate and the higher of the two is applied, whichever that is?

They've mentioned in their website that German VAT is not deducted since the reiver of the package is a German entity.

No any packages sent within EU the seller's vat applies.

I would in that case love to know how they pay customs and clearance on a 700 Euro computer and only charge 14.90 to deliver it. They say you have no right to a refund of German VAT, not they .

Yes you're right. I had misunderstood the text.

Depends on the product. Source

Well I went to Jestetten Germany to pick up my parcel. A desolate German town-not even a coffee shop. Once an hour a train to Zürich. And the only road going through the place full of cars. Never again. Konstanz is the best even though its longer with the train.

Ah so you failed to find the main street lined with shops and at least three cafes!

BTW, the Chinese restaurant opposite the station is very good.

that was the main street with no cafes. Just cars cars and more cars

Maybe because it was dark? Yes, it has a couple of café ́s and restaurants, a DM, an Aldi, a big Edeka etc etc (and my favourite dentist)
