Does anyone know how to park at Albisgüetli car park. Is there a ticket machine, how do you use it, how much does it cost, and how long can you park for? I know there are ticket machines on the street outside, but I couldn’t understand how to buy a ticket.
Thanks for your answer - I”m still a bit confused. There is a paved car park below the tram station which appears to be only for guests of the hotel. Below that there is a massive gravel car park which is nearly empty - can I park there? - it seems unlikely because no-one else is parking there and there are no ticket machines. Whats the worst that could happen - could they tow my car?. There doesn't appear to be any car park for the Tram station itself.
Could anyone explain how to use the street ticket machines - it seems impossible to get a ticket out of them
The huge parking lot is private territory from the restaurant/hotel. And yes they can tow you away if they want to. And the massive gravel park is restricted (which also is explained on the signs)
If you don't go to the restaurant/hotel you have to park on the street.
No clue what exact ticket machine you are referring to, but often a parking place has a number, you enter the number in the machine, pay and walk away and no ticket needed.
Your coins pay for a number of minutes of legal parking time. The parking attendant who monitors the spaces can then check how many minutes remain by typing in the number of the parking space. Up until your numbered parking space balance hits zero, your car is parked legally. Once you hit zero, you can be fined.
Not at those parking spaces. The machine prints a ticket that you put in your windscreen. From memory it’s 0.50 an hour and there are two types of space 6 hour and 15 hour. They get busy during the week from people working at Credit Suisse.
If you want to park for free, you've to search in the neighborhood behind it. There is blue zone parking there (thus free in the evening/sunday) - but you might have to search a bit for it..
