Parking at Stechelberg to go to Murren

So Muerren is a car free town.

I have googled and it looks like the gondola from Stechelberg to Murren stops at 5pm

Has anyone been up there later than 5pm?

I believe you can also park in Lauterbrunnen and take the cable car then train up from there. That may run a little later. On the other hand, why drive at all? Why not take public transport all the way?

pharlapsheart , The cablecar journey takes 10 minutes to get upto Murren stopping off at Gimmelwald to change cars, at the moment the last one leaves at 00:55.
