Hello, tonight I have some friends coming over and they are coming by car. I know that you can not park in BS for free with the car. Is that also for Baselland? In the white parking spots?
I would def be interested in a thread also.
I want to move into my apartment and there are blue lines in Allschwil, so I wonder how to arrange parking for my father cars overnight.

I used to park free in Basel all the time. I admit, last time was two years ago but should really everything have changed that much?
Unless you live somewhere like Barfüsslerplatz - that's probably not free.
If your father parks between 18.00 and 8.00 he's good until 9 a.m.
He needs a card for the blue zone though!
They've removed many blue spaces and every white space.

The good burghers voted to reduce the number of parking spaces in an effort to reduce the amount of traffic in the city. (Doesn't work of course. You just have more people driving around looking for a space.)

That's the problem, they didn't ask the "Bürger" (which would have been me), they asked the inhabitants.
So I pay Fr. 20.00 (yep, I tend to linger) but still can't use the trams with the same ticket??
