My husband and I thought the minimum paternity leave in Switzerland was 1 day. Today we were told that increased to 10 days. Anyone know if this is correct? Thanks!

The god of Wiki states it's 1 day only. Maybe it's company dependent, though. My husband got a whole week paid leave when my son was born.
I think it depends on the company. My husband got 5 days while a friend's husband got 15 days.
Thank you for the replies. We did know that the duration could vary by company but we are most interested in knowing what Swiss law says on the subject. Although I have looked on-line I haven't had luck finding this information. Thanks!
Depends on company / organisations. Where I work paternity leave is 2 paid weeks while in my husband's company its one week only. While maternity leave is 4 months in mine and 6 months in his!!
Sadly we are in loosing side in both case...
Legally it is only one day so that the father can register the birth. Any extra days are at the discretion of the employer.
